Austrian dance collective Potpourri moves between expressive richness of Hip Hop and House Dance Culture and Contemporary Art.
With their wide-ranged performance and managing skills it has been a major concern of Farah Deen and Olivia Mitterhuemer to make the niche dance styles accessible to a broader audience since 2006. Their work includes national and international dance performances, theatre productions, music and commercial videos and teaching.
In 2009 the collective founded the international Streetdance Festival Flavourama in Salzburg, which hosts more than 2000 people every year and is known all around the globe.
In 2024, Potpourri Dance was awarded with the City of Salzburg’s Prize for Art and Culture for their year-long commitment. According to the gremium, Potpourri Dance’s work
combines the city's classical high culture with the dynamic subculture of Hip Hop and House Dance, creating new, creative spaces for intercultural exchange.
